EOTDs: Neutral

You know how sometimes you get in a rut and wear the same look over and over?  Yeah.. well.  Here's my makeup for the last three days because my allergies have been so bad that I'm terrified to play with color.

Busted out my trusty old Naked palette for this one.

j0hn's band had their first show, so I busted out a spicy lipcolor, literally.  It's a new shade from Wet N Wild called Salsa Lessons from their new megashield lip color line.  It has an SPF 15 & the name is on the bottom!  0.10 oz for $2.99.

This is today, at the end of the day.  It's been over ten hours and it is HOT and I'm just starting to show some oil.  Eyes are Stila's Karat & Bronze.  Face is Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer, NARS Sheer Matte, & ELF HD Powder.
FTC:  I received the Stila shadows and the Naked palette from my friend Jess.  I got the NARS Sheer Matte from work.  Everything else I purchased with my own money.  These are my honest opinions and no one paid me to use these products.

FOTD: Bronzed Goddess!

Today my co-workers and I were supposed to be bronzed goddesses (except for Christopher, who was supposed to be a bronzed god).  Most of us embraced them theme except for one girl who thought it was neon day.. (She still looked beautiful, by the way.)

For my face, I started off with Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer all over the face (and probably on my eyes, too?) after I moisturized.  I needed to look bronzed, so I wore foundation that's a touch too dark (read:  only a little too dark, nothing tragically different), which in this case is the Dior Diorskin Sculpt in 020 (not vegan or cruelty-free).  I blended it down my neck to ensure it would look natural.  I followed that up with my MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20 (no longer cruelty-free, doubt it was ever vegan).  I set my entire face and neck with the ELF Pressed Powder in Sand (cruelty free and probably vegan), which matches me brilliantly when I have a bit of a summer glow, but right now is also a touch to dark.  I used the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer to contour (cruelty free but probably not vegan) and considered adding a shimmer-y bronzer like ELF's Healthy Glow Bronzing Powder in Warm Tan, but settled for highlighting with their same powder in Luminance (cruelty free).  The cute pop of color on my cheeks is the Fox in a Box blush Skinny Dipping (cruelty free).  Then it was time to move on to the eyes.

I started off with my Too Faced Shadow Insurance all over the eye, then added the Tokidoki Perfetto liner in Sabochan for brows (both cruelty-free).  For my shadow, I used the Stila duo I received from my friend Jess called Blushing Beauty - Set 1.  The inner eye color is called Karat, and the outer corner is the color Bronze.  I used the Wet n Wild single Brulee for a brow highlight and to set my brows.  I love how thls look turned out, even if it's not photographing all that brilliantly.  I lined the lower water liner and the out half of the upper waterline with my Sephora Waterproof Eye Kohl in Keep Black.  Mind you, that was almost exactly 12 hours ago and my waterline is still pretty black.  I added two coats of the Tarte Amazonian Clay mascara called Gifted to the lashes and headed out to work.

I didn't put on any lip color until it was time to start my day, and that item is currently unreleased and I'll be telling you all about that when it launches so you have to wait until then.  =]

FTC:  In this post, I received the Dior & Tarte items from work.  Jess sent me the Stila duo and the ELF pressed powder.  Everything else I paid for myself.  These are my honest opinions and no one is paying me to do this post.

EOTD: Soft & Smoky

So the new Spring trends to watch out for are, as you already know, color blocking, and by refusal to die, smoky eyes.  Today I wanted to play with a smoky eye using primarily Urban Decay products.

On my face, I'm wearing MAC's Studio Finish Concealer and Studio Fix Powder in NC20.  I have on Too Faced's Chocolate Soleil Bronzer and Urban Decay's blush in Score.  I also put on Benefit's Watts Up! on my cheeks, but you can't really tell in this photo.  Really, most of my face makeup is gone now because it's been 10-12 hours since application.

My eyes started off with Too Faced's Shadow Insurance in Lemon Drop (the corrector one) just to try it out.  I put the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Shadow in Mercury.  I used the Naked 2 over it; Foxy in the inner corner, my beloved Tease all over the lid, Pistol in the crease, and Verve just over the ball of the eye to brighten it up and give dimension.  I also used pistol below the eye.  My liner is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on pencil in Zero.  I used the Too Faced glitter liner in Ooh & Ahh with a flat liner brush below the eye.  My mascara is the Dior Maximizer primer, and the Diorshow New Look in 090 Noir.

My lips are nothing, now.

FTC:  I got ready at work today.  Some of these items I own at home, but these are all products I used at work.  I wasn't paid to share this look, write this post, or otherwise peddle these products.

EOTD: I love MUFE Eye Seal!

So I've heard Danielle J. rave about Makeup Forever's Eye Seal for a long time.. and everytime I put that 21$ bottle of magic in my basket, I would end up putting it back for one reason or another.  Yesterday, I was faced with the task of a sugar skull, and I decided it was high time I made the investment in that precious little bottle.  Today I had time to play, so I busted it out with my personal makeup and came up with.. well.. this.

I started with Hope In a Jar, as usual, followed by my MAC Studio Finish Concealer and MAC Studio Fix powder (both in NC20).  My contour is Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Original Chocolate, with Hard Candy's Fox in a Box in Skinny Dipping.  I put on the Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer on my lids, drew on some brows with Tokidoki's Perfetto Liner in Sabochan, and set them with the Wet n Wild Color Icon single in Brulee.  I mixed some Eye Seal with MUFE's pigment #751.. and it just so happened that I had something purple-ish in my brush.  I put it below my eye as well with a pencil brush.  I cut the crease with MAC's eyeshadow in Blue Candy, and blended NYX's matte black in the crease.  It was the first matte black I came across in my collection.  I lined my waterlines with Smashbox's Limitless Eyeliner in Onyx, and lined the top lid with a mixture of Eye Seal and NYX's matte black.  I used Brulee again as a brow highlight.    I used two coats of Sephora's Lash Plumper mascara in black on the top, and one on the lower lashes.  I had on Kat Von D's lipstick in Celebutard, but now I have on the Tokidoki gloss Lion Pappa from one of the trios currently for sale.

Over ten hours later (the photo above is from a few minutes ago), everything is still holding strong.  =]

FTC:  I received Hope In a Jar from work, the Benefit primer sample from Mo, the MUFE eye pigment is a sample, the Smashbox liner came from work, but paid for everything else with my own money.  I am not being compensated for this post.  I used these items because I like them, and that is my honest opinion.

FOTD: Spring Citrus

Sadly, the look is incomplete.  I'll edit with a picture of the lips later, but it'll be amazing.  (Edited!  I added the Urban Decay Super Saturated lip pencil in Punch Drunk.)

I started off with my Hope in a Jar to moisturize.  I then put Smashbox BB Cream all over my face.  It's not as hydrating as you'd expect, so that's why I moisturized beforehand.  I used my Beauty Without Cruelty Creamy Concealer under my eyes, around my nose, and a few places on my face (can you say break out city?).  I set all of that with MAC Sheer Loose Powder.

I contoured with Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer.  My blush today was Score by Urban Decay, which was sent to me by the lovely Jess (yt user: markgirlJess).  On my eyes, I used the Benefit Stay Don't Stray sparingly, and then busted out my bright shadows.  I have on Tokidoki's Soya all over the lid and up into the crease.  I put on my brow highlight (Wet N Wild's Brulee; dupe for about a bajillion colors, including MAC's Brulee), and blended in between the two with MTcoffinz Zoom Boom Pow.  I brightened up my inner corners using Sephora's eyeshadow Aspen Summit.  I used Sephora's Waterproof Kohl for all of my liner, creating the wing with my Tokidoki Donutella angled liner brush.  I curled my lashes with the Urban Decay Revolution, and applied a coat of Sephora's Lash Plumper mascara in black.  Right now I have on the Sheer Smashbox gloss in Glow.

FOTD/EOTD: Dark Pinup Look

I got in some items today from Beauty Without Cruelty, so I wanted to use them right away (of course!).  This look is a darker pinup look.  The only difference between this and a classic pinup look is that I ditched cherry lips for a deep plum.

On my eyes: Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer, MSC e/s Birfday Suit, Honey Rose and In the Buff, MAC eye kohl in Fascinating, Sephora Waterproof Kohl in Keep Black, Tokidoki Perfetto Liner in Sabochan, NYX e/s in 01 Black, Sephora Lash Plumper mascara in Black

On my face: Beauty Without Cruelty Creamy Concealer in Fair, MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC20, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Urban Decay blush in Score; On my lips: Beauty Without Cruelty lipstick in Deep Plum over MSC lip bomb in Snoball

FTC: All items used in this look were purchased by me except: all items by BWC were sent to me for consideration, the Urban Decay blush in Score was a gift, and the Benefit primer sample was also a gift.  I used these items because I like them, and that is my honest opinion.

FOTD/EOTD: Candy Eyes

While recording my January favorites, I realized my eyes had a definite theme: candy.

Here's the overall face:
NARS Sheer Matte Foundation in Mont Blanc, MAC Studio Fix Powder in NC20, MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC20, Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer, Jordana blush in 38 Coral Sandy Beach, & TKDK Perfetto Liner in Sabochan for the brows, TKDK prismagloss in Ciao Ciao
Here's the eyes up close:
Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer, TKDK eyeshadow in Killer Candy, MAC eyeshadow in Blue Candy, Wet N Wild eyeshadow in Brulee, MAC Fascinating eye kohl in Fascinating, TKDK Perfetto Liner in Sabochan, MUFE Smoky Lash mascara in black
Should I do a tutorial or is this one pretty straightforward?

FTC:  All items used in this look were purchased by me except for: the Jordana blush was sent to me for use and consideration, the Benefit primer sample was sent to me by a friend, and the MUFE Smoky Lash mascara and the NARS Sheer Matte foundations were items I received from work.  I was not compensated for this look.  I used these products because I like them, and that is my honest opinion.
