May was a whirlwind of a month!! I worked at so many Ultas this month! I tried a few new things, got some new things in my Vegan Cuts Box, and of COURSE wore lots of Too Faced! Here are the products I was loving this month! As always, all products are cruelty free, and they are vegan unless otherwise stated!
SKINCARE:
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair SPF 40: I am in love with this product. I was worried it was going to be too heavy for my combination, acne prone skin, but I am finding just the opposite! My skin drinks it right in and it makes everything smooth and plump. I haven't had any issues with it making me shiny or sticky, either. My only word of advice is that if you are particularly dry, you will want to supplement with a moisturizer underneath.
First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy: I love this product! I prime my face every day with Too Faced Hangover primer, eyeshadow primer (currently using up Urban Decay Anti-Aging Primer), and this below my eyes. It hydrates and plumps the skin, de-puffs, and also slightly color corrects. It is, simply put, the bee's knees.
MAKEUP:
Too Faced Born This Way (in Snow & Nude): I have been wearing Snow for months. I noticed that lately it's not quite enough color, so I've been applying Snow to the center of my face, then mixing it equal parts with Nude to add more color to the borders of my face. I reviewed my favorite foundations and went more in depth here.
Medusa's Makeup Blush in Jezebel: I got this blush in my Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, and instantly fell in love. I visited Chicago maybe five years ago and got my first glimpse of the brand, but never ended up buying any. When I saw it in my box, I was excited. As soon as I tried it on, I knew I was going to be using it often. It's a coral color, but it has a gorgeous pop to it.
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Pencil in Moonspoon: I'm a pretty big fan of this exact liner. I can't say I'm a fan of ALL of the 24/7 Pencils, but I do like Moonspoon a lot. I ended up with a LOT of UD liners during my years with Sephora, so I've been trying to use them more lately to use them up before they all dry out. This one is my favorite because it reminds me of the Perfect Eyes in Perfect Storm from Too Faced.
Too Faced La Creme Matte: I don't even have a favorite color, I am in love with all of them! I wear As If! a lot because it goes well with Jezebel from Medusa's Makeup, and Love Hangover from Too Faced. Bachelorette is another gorgeous choice. Pitch Perfect is a purple-fuschia that looks good on everyone. I haven't tried one on yet that I didn't like!
EDIBLES:
Ben & Jerry's Non-Dairy: Holy crap! I CAN'T EVEN. The best non-dairy ice cream I have found is the So Delicious Coconut and Almond Milk varieties. They are still fantastic, but now I am in LOVE with the Ben & Jerry options! I haven't tried one I don't like yet! As a matter of fact, Fudge Brownie is waiting in the freezer for a taste test...
Gamma Labs G Fuel in Mystery Flavor: I have now tried Fazeberry (yum!!), Pineapple and Mystery. The Mystery Flavor smells like the Lik-Em-Stik from Fun Dip, but tastes floral, almost like I would expect cherry blossom to taste. I don't think it's my favorite, but I would buy it again!
Chameleon Cold-Brew and Califia Farms Cold Brew: I have been drinking cold brew for over a year now, and it's amazing how much better my stomach does with it. I used to brew my own, but I started buying the Chameleon Cold-Brew while we were still in Texas. Shortly after, I discovered Califia Farms had cold brew and have often picked up the single serve bottles every time I work in an Ulta or Sephora near a Whole Foods.

EOTD: A Smoky Mistake.
I started a smoky eye for work, then they called and said that they were issuing a snow day. So I busted out my indie brands and created this mashup for you. Sadly, I made a huge mistake when I added pink below the eye because now I feel like I look so tired. Whoops.
In this look:
To the best of my knowledge, all of these items are vegan & cruelty free except for the mascara. Also, don't judge my eyebrows. They've been growing in for a while, but much like my natural hair color, it's still a total mess. And yeah, I look exhausted in the inner corners of my eyes.. cause I am. I work retail and it's the holidays, haha. One night of sleep will sadly not get rid of that darkness.. it'll be gone soon though.
In this look:
- Madd Style Cosmetix Optimus Primer Eyelid Primer
- Darling Girl Cosmetics Eye Base in Starry Night
- Glamour Doll Eye Loose Pigment in Obscura
- Madd Style Cosmetix Loose Pigment in Revenge
- Madd Style Cosmetix Loose Pigment in Adipose
- Madd Style Cosmetix Loose Pigment in Girl With the Most Cake
- Too Faced 3 Way Eye Liner
- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Perversion
- Givenchy Phenom'Eyes Mascara in Noir

Phototutorial: Coffee Time.
I haven't done a tutorial in a while. I've been busy between my two jobs, and whereas I miss you guys, I am really, really tired, haha.
I only used one brush! This is the SOHO Smudge Brush from my Myglam/Ipsy Bag. I used Madd Style Cosmetix pigments in Adipose, Xray Spex, Dirty Chai, Americano and Fresh Pots. I used my Eyeko Skinny Liner in Black, my Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Whiskey and MAC's eye kohl in Fascinating. I also used my Urban Decay Primer Potion in Sin, and Makeup Forever's Smoky Lash in Brown.

My Top Five Vegan Foundations!
Looking for an updated version of this list? Check this post here!
I have combination to oily skin, so please keep that in mind when reading this. However, I combat this fact by using a great primer (usually Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer) to make my skin appear a little more normal. I fully believe that all of these foundations can be worn by all skin types.
1. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Full Coverage Foundation SPF 15 – 1.7 oz - $38.00
This is definitely my current favorite foundation. It is NOT full coverage immediately, but you can very easily build it up to be. I have been wearing this as both my foundation and concealer. It has fantastic coverage, even when applied lightly, and offers good oil control. I haven’t had any issues with patchiness, and although I wouldn’t say it lasts 12 hours on me, I definitely get a minimum of eight hours. They want you to use their big bamboo brush with this foundation, and while I agree that a large, dense synthetic brush is necessary, I strongly dislike the size of the brush head. I use a Real Techniques buffing brush, the Sephora Mineral Powder Brush #45, the Sephora Pro Airbrush #55 or #56, or the Urban Decay Good Karma Optical Blurring Brush if you get my second favorite foundation.
2. Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Ultra Definition Liquid Foundation – 1 oz - $38.00
This foundation is everything you want out of a lightweight foundation. It offers color coverage without adding any texture (which is both good and bad, depending on your needs). It feels amazing because it feels like you’re wearing nothing at all, yet for those with no texture issues, you will be left with flawless skin. I am a huge fan of the finish of this foundation, and really love it. This is a fantastic foundation for anyone who likes how lightweight a tinted moisturizer is, but want more coverage. This foundation nearly won out the spot for number one, but I am in a long term relationship with my Amazonian Clay foundation at this point. They want you to apply it with their smaller, dense, synthetic fiber brush, and re-designed their pre-exisiting Good Karma foundation brush to make it perform even better with the formula. Important notes: it’s very liquid-y, and you have to shake the bottle before each application.
3. Beauty Without Cruelty Ultimate Natural Liquid Makeup-up – 0.5 oz - $23.95
I hadn’t realized that this was only a half an ounce, and that’s mainly because this bottle has lasted me so long (and still isn’t finished). It’s a beautiful, naturally radiant formula that looks like your skin, only better. I would compare the finish to NARS Sheer Glow, so if you prefer a more matte look, or are more on the oily side, you’ll need a good primer and setting powder. It applies easily, and it’s also wonderful with a fluffy, dense, synthetic brush (though I’ve also used a beauty blender type sponge and a flat foundation brush with no issue). It’s a great foundation since it’s so natural looking, I can’t imagine anyone truly disliking the finish. I will warn that the shades run possibly a tad dark, so keep that in mind when you order. I wear fair, and it’s still possibly a little too dark for me.
4. Hourglass Immaculate Liquid Powder Foundation – 1 oz - $55.00
Where to begin: I love this foundation. If price were no factor in how I graded things, this foundation would certainly be in the top three. However, it is a little pricy and it kills me just a little every time I walk by it at work (because I’ll never bring it home with me). The price, however, is due from it’s promises (not claims!) that you do NOT need a powder with it, it WILL control oil, and it WILL have and maintain a matte finish all day. That is a pretty big list of demands, but this foundation delivers. I pair it with the Mineral Veil Primer and a stippling or buffing brush, and couldn’t be happier. The coverage is great and the range of colors is excellent (except for deep to very deep skin tones).
5. Pumpkin and Poppy Full Coverage Mineral Foundation – 30 grams - $10.75 (on sale)
I am not a huge fan of mineral powders of any sort, but I do make an exception when it comes to Pumpkin and Poppy. The owner is a long time internet friend, and I know that a lot of time and love goes into every product she creates. She worked very hard to bring out a full coverage mineral powder foundation that also has a large range of shades. She is currently reformulating all of her foundations, so look for those to return later this year. Another awesome thing about Pumpkin & Poppy? In the past, you could order a "refill" for your empty foundation, which helps reduce the amount of plastic that ends up in landfills! I think she will be bringing this program back. She also offered custom mixed colors (ie: if you find that mixing two parts of one foundation to one part of another was your perfect shade, she'd send you that, instead of having to buy both).

Pantone Color of the Year Tangerine Tango Products!
I wear Tangerine Tango every day at work, so I've found lots of items around work that look beautiful with it. If you're looking for more items to go with your eyeshadow quad or that Tangerine Tango lipstick, look no further.
1. Urban Decay eyeshadow in Free Love, $17
This color is a soft coral that teeters on the orange side. It looks amazing as a single color look with some black liner and lots of mascara. It has just the right amount of shimmer that means it'll look great on everyone, and would look great with any eye color. This color is not vegan, but it is cruelty-free.
2. Stila Long Wear Lip Color in Outrageous, $20
This is an amazing product for the girl on the go. You can line and fill in one easy step, it never needs to be sharpened, and the color payoff is amazing. It's affordable, it smooth to apply and it comes in a range of shades and finishes. Oh.. and it smells amazing. I think this item contains carmine, sadly. Stila doesn't test on animals, though.
3. Madd Style Cosmetix's Orange Eyeshadow Shades, $5
I have an insane amount of Madd Style Cosmetix, you already know this. I have worn all of my orange shades that are currently listed on the MSC shop with Tangerine Tango looks, and they have all turned out beautifully. I've posted a couple of looks on my youtube showing how to use these items together. These are super affordable, as well. All colors from MSC are vegan and cruelty-free.
4. Hard Candy Fox in a Box in Skinny Dipping, $8
I received this item in a swap from Dawn and I absolutely love it. It's such a lovely color and peach tones look good on pretty much everyone. It's cruelty free but I'm not sure if it's vegan or not.
5. Jordana Incolor Pretty Shine Luxury Glossy in 10 Dazzling, $1.99
This is affordable, gorgeous, and looks great over other lip products. It's easy to find, easy to apply, and feels nice. There's really nothing else to say, haha. Go to your local Walgreen's and pick it up. They are cruelty free, but I need to look up the vegan list on my computer when I get home.
5. Pantone + Sephora Color of the Year Collection, $7-$68
Of COURSE this collection has to be on the list! Both the Pantone + Sephora and the Sephora Collection cosmetics are a brilliant use of both Tangerine Tango and it's complementary colors. The eyeshadow quad begs for the liner trio, and the glosses are beautiful and lovely to wear. The best part about the collection is that it takes the guess work out of what you should wear with the color by offering options. Sephora brand does not test on animals, but I can't seem to get a definitive vegan list out of them, haha.
FTC: I have received some pigments in exchange for modeling or MSC. I have no idea which pigments they are anymore. I received the blush from Dawn in an exchange. Everything else I purchased with my own money. These are my honest opinions. I do no represent Sephora, LLC or any of it's subsidiaries in any way, shape or form.

Top Five Eyeliners!
I wear a lot of eyeliner. j0hn wears even MORE eyeliner than I do, so I asked him to give his opinions on this post. These are in no particular order.
1. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eyeliner in Perversion - $19
http://www.urbandecay.com/perversion-eye-pencil
These really are some of the best eyeliners out there. They're less than $20, they have insane staying power, and they come in a huge range of colors (many of which are vegan, and clearly labeled as such). They glide on easily, too, which is a huge selling point for me, especially because I like to wear them on my waterline.
2. Sephora Waterproof Eye Kohl in Keep Black - $9
http://sephora.com/waterproofeyekohl
This is my favorite affordable eyeliner pencil. I'd used a few drug store pencils, but this one is great. The main reason I will be switching to using Perversion when my current pencil runs out is that no one seems to know if this pencil is vegan or not. It's definitely not tested on animals, but I have no idea if there are any animal products in it so it's time to move on to a new liner. j0hn also uses this liner.
3. NARS Larger Than Life Long Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto (Black) - $23
http://www.narscosmetics.com/color/eyes/~/larger-than-life-long-wear-eyeliner
There are two reason why I love this eyeliner; first of all, you don't sharpen it so there is no loss of product, and once it sets, it is going to stay for a very, very long time. There are only two reasons I don't like this eyeliner; Perversion is darker and I don't know if it's vegan. I'm still waiting on a vegan list from NARS.
4. ELF Cream Liner in Black - $3
http://www.eyeslipsface.com/studio/eyes/eyeliner/cream_eyeliner
This product is amazing for the price. Once apon a time, Wet N Wild was known for having the most affordable cream liner out there, but ELF's cream liner blows theirs out of the water. j0hn uses this for a base on his eyelids every single day. That boy is hard to please when it comes to black liner. Their waterproof eyeliner pen is pretty remarkable at a $1 price point. Both of these items weren't tested on animals, and I think both of them are vegan. I need to double check that.
5. MAC Eye Kohl in Fascinating - $15
http://www.maccosmetics.com/products/eyekohl/fascinating
This product was my absolute favorite white eyeliner. Sadly, MAC is owned by Estee Lauder & that means they are no longer cruelty free. Other white eyeliners I've been impressed by are Jordana's and Sephora's Nano Liner. They are both significantly cheaper than the MAC liner, so when Fascinating runs out, you can expect some white liner reviews. First on the list? Urban Decay's Yeyo!

FOTD / Mini Review: Natural Faced
I didn't want to get ready at home today, so I started off with my foundation, concealer and HD powder at home, and some Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer for a contour. I waited until I got to work to play.
I started with my eyes because I didn't know what I wanted to do with my face, so I used the Naked 2 palette. I had put on the Benefit Stay Don't Stray primer at home about an hour or so beforehand and let me just say, IF you don't use shadow over it immediately, it creases. What a bummer. I only used the brush that comes with the Naked 2 palette and I have mixed feelings on it. I used the Foxy in the inner corner and as my brow highlight. I used the gorgeous Tease all over the lid, concentrating it right in the center of the lid. I used Pistol as my inner crease color and Blasted as the outer crease color. I deepened the outer v with Blackout, and popped some Verve over the ball of my eye (right in the center of the lid) and just a tiny touch in the very inner corner to open my eyes a bit. I used Perversion on my upper and lower waterlines, letting it smudge out a bit on the bottom. I used Benefit's They're Real mascara for the first time ever and I have mixed feelings on it as well.
For my face, I used NARS blush Mata Hari with New Order as a highlight. I put on Urban Decay's All Nighter setting spray, another first, and was pleasantly surprised by how refreshing it was. I used an Urban Decay gloss, though now I don't remember which one. Something with surprisingly little color payoff (though it does feel pretty, haha).
